Power Restored To Barnegat As Jones Road Wildfire Rages On
Residents in Barnegat should see their power returned Wednesday afternoon.

BARNEGAT, NJ — As the 12,000-acre wildfire rages on, most Barnegat residents should see their power restored, police said.
"We're pleased to report that power appears to have been restored to all residences and businesses in Barnegat," Barnegat police said at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. "We are actively monitoring the fire from the incident command post and will provide updates as needed."
JCP&L cut power to an estimated 25,000 homes in Barnegat, Waretown, Lacey and Berkeley Tuesday night in order to keep firefighters safe as they tackled the growing Jones Road Wildfire.

Those still without power can expect it to be restored by 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to JCP&L.
