Rough Seas Today On Long Beach Island, Rip Current Risk Is High
Waves will be from 7 to 8 feet today, with swells of 6 to 8 feet

LONG BEACH ISLAND The National Weather Service is calling for another day of dangerous ocean conditions on Long Beach Island.
Waves today will be from 7 to 8 feet, with easterly swells of 6 to 8 feet. The ocean water temperature has dropped to 72 degrees, lower than it has been all week.
The rip current risk is high, which means that dangerous and potentially life threatening conditions exist. If you can find a beach that's still guarded, and there are a few, you probably wouldn't be allowed in the water.
