Salad House To Open New Restaurant In Manahawkin

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Diners who lean on the more health-conscious side will be pleased to know that a new healthy eatery will be opening its doors soon in Manahawkin.

Salad House, a chain serving up sandwiches, wraps, bowls and of course, salads, recently signed a lease to open its newest location in Manahawkin Plaza, according to local realtor Rudy Daunno. The news was shared in a social media post from the Daunno Realty Services Facebook page.

The restaurant operates several locations in New Jersey, primarily up north. The nearest location is in Toms River, which opened in May 2023.

Its first location opened in 2011 in Millburn, launched by Springfield native Joey Cioffi, according to the Salad House website.

Cioffi, who vacations on Long Beach Island, told the Asbury Park Press that his franchise is searching for more locations in the Central Jersey area.

Naturally, Salad House's menu offers a variety of salads, but diners can also enjoy sandwiches, wraps, bowls and smoothies. They also serve vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options for those with a more specific diet.

The new location hopes to open in July, according to the Asbury Park Press.
