Santa and Mrs. Claus To Tour Barnegat

BARNEGAT, NJ—Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be escorted through Barnegat neighborhoods from Saturday Dec. 5 through Tuesday Dec. 15 by the Barnegat Volunteer Fire Company Station 11.

The fire department published the Santa Run route schedule on their website detailing dates and times of arrival in each section of Barnegat. The Santa Runs start at 5 p.m. on weekends and 7 p.m. on weekdays.

Santa’s convoy cannot travel down cul-de-sacs or dead end streets. The fire department advises residents in those areas to walk to the nearest main road to see Santa's convoy.

The fire department encourages spectators to social distance and wear masks when gathering to greet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Santa Runs can be affected by inclement weather, but the fire department aims to make up any canceled runs.

According to their website, the annual open house at the firehouse on the first night of the Santa Runs is canceled this year due to the coronavirus.
