Stafford Man Suffers Head Injury After Car Strikes Parked Trailer
Adolph Schlesinger was not wearing a seat belt when he struck a parked trailer in Manahawkin, police say
STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ An 89 year old Manahawkin man suffered a head injury after his Hyundai Elantra struck a parked construction trailer on Charles Boulevard, on Monday, Lt. James R. Vaughn said.
Stafford police responded to the scene at 2:33 pm. on July 16. Adolph Schlesinger was traveling north on Charles Boulevard near Lawrence Drive when his vehicle began to "drift" to the right side of the road on Charles Boulevard, Vaughn said.
Schlesinger’s vehicle then struck a construction trailer belonging to AMON Construction. The impact caused his airbags to deploy. Schlesinger was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was the only occupant in the vehicle, Vaughn said.

Schlesinger was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center with a head injury.
Traffic on Charles Boulevard was redirected around the scene for approximately 45 minutes and his vehicle was towed from the scene, Vaughn said.
Patrolman Jillson is the investigating officer. The Stafford Township Volunteer EMS and MONOC Paramedic Unit 216 assisted.
