Stafford Police Charge Bayville Woman With Drunk Driving

MANAHAWKIN, NJ - Stafford Township police recently arrested a Bayville woman and charged her with drunk driving after a traffic stop near Route 9 and East Bay Avenue, Patrolman Christopher J. Fritz said.

Stafford Police arrested Christina Bennet, 40, was stopped at 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 for failing to maintain lane. She was arrested after an investigation by Patrolman Russell Dunfee.

Bennet was taken to police headquarters, where she was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit breath samples for testing, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license, and several additional motor vehicle summonses. She was processed and released pending a future court appearance, Fritz said.
