Stafford Police Investigating Construction Trailer Fire At Clayton Block
Propane tank exploded during blaze, injuring one state Forest Fire Service employee slightly.

Stafford Township police and the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office are investigating a structure fire that broke out in a construction trailer at Clayton Block at the end of Beachview Avenue on Sept. 4, Lt. James R. Vaughn said.
While the blaze in the older trailer was being extinguished, a propane tank near the trailer exploded, slightly injuring a state Forest Fire Service employee. He was treated for a minor arm injury at the scene, Vaughn said.
This incident is being investigated by Detective Drew Smith of the Stafford Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Fire Marshall’s Office.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit, the State Forest Fire Service, the Stafford Township Fire Company, the Barnegat Township Fire Company, and the Stafford Township First Aid Squad also responded, Vaughn said.
