Surf City Flooding Closes Several Roadways: Police

Surf City police are reporting that flooding in low-lying areas from Hurricane Jose has closed portions of Barnegat Avenue and that water is creeping up on the shoulders of Central Avenue, according to the department's Facebook page.

Drivers are asked to use Long Beach Boulevard instead.

The National Weather Service earlier predicted moderate tidal flooding during the high tide cycle Tuesday evening.
