Waretown Historical Society To Host Titanic Speaker
Historian Sandy Gray will discuss how the city of Halifax became the last resting place for many Titantic victims

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Waretown Historical Society will present "The Titanic and the Halifax Connection" at 2 p.m. on March 18.
The city of Halifax, Nova Scotia made a valiant effort to recover the bodies of Titanic victims after the devastating nautical disaster back in April of 1912.
Titanic historian Sandy Gray will discuss the retrieval process, personal stories and other intriguing facts during the presentation. Gray has also visited the site where many of the victims are buried, said Historical Society President Adele R. Shaw.

The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912 after striking an iceberg in the North Atlantic.
