If you’re looking for a cozy way to ease into the season, the Festival of Trees at the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center is a longtime local favorite. Now in its 47th year, the indoor exhibit fills the center with beautifully decorated trees created by community groups, schools and local residents. You can take your time walking through the displays, listening to holiday music and enjoying the small details that make each tree unique. The festival runs December 5–28, 2025 (closed December 24–25) from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with a suggested $5 donation.
