Basking Ridge Local Named Finalist For Light Opera's Vocal Competition

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Susan Polito of Basking Ridge was among 12 performers to be chosen as a finalist for Light Opera of NJ(LONJ)'s "Stars of Tomorrow" Vocal Competition.

The young performers showcased exceptional vocal skills and artistry, captivating the judges, according to LONJ.

The finalists include:

• Gabrielle Liberman, Summit
• Katie Holzer, Florham Park
• Grace Chung, Garfield
• Jake Cerny, Secaucus
• Becca Axler, Madison
• Isaac Ahn, Fort Lee
• Maya Wishnia, Warren
• Geisa Quintana, North Bergen
• Susan Polito, Basking Ridge
• Echo Picone, Washington
• Ronan Flanagan, New Providence

The finals will take place on April 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 140 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge. The grand prize is $1,000 and an appearance in an upcoming LONJ Main Stage production, $500 for second place and $250 for third place as determined by the judges; plus $100 for the winner of the audience favorite award.
