Democrats Leading In Bernards Township Committee Election 2025

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The polls have closed and the results are in for a contested Bernards Township Committee race.

According to Somerset County, Democrats are leading ahead of Republicans.

Democrats Brett Hodges and John Tompkins are leading over Republicans David Tancredi and Bill McMahon.

Here are the results for the Bernards Township Committee (*denotes incumbent). According to Somerset County, 100 percent of the districts have been reported for. However, these results remain unofficial until all mail-in and provisional ballots are counted:

Bernards Township Committee:

• David Tancredi (full term) - Republican* - 5,314
• Brett Hodges (full term) - Democrat - 5,421
• Bill McMahon (unexpired term) - Republican - 5,232
• John Tompkins (unexpired term) - Democrat - 5,505
