Blaze Engulfs School Bus, Shuts Rt. 78 Lanes Thursday Morning

A school bus fire caused delays after shutting two lanes of Route 78 Thursday morning, New Jersey State Police said.

The fire was reported at 9:40 a.m. and closed two lanes of eastbound Route 78, police said. It is not yet known how many occupants were on board, but no injuries have been reported.

The incident occurred in the area of exit 40, police said. All lanes were reopened at 10:53 a.m. and there is no determined cause of the fire yet.
