Flu Clinics Postponed In Bernards Township

Manufacturer delays are blamed for the cancellation of flu clinics this fall in Bernards Township

BASKING RIDGE, NJ—The Bernards Township Health Department announced on Monday that flu shot clinics scheduled for the remainder of September and in October are canceled until further notice.

"Although the vaccine was ordered in February, the announcement said, "delay is due to the vaccine not being available from the manufacturer."

The Centers for Disease Control and NJ Department of Health have not reported flu vaccine shortages. According to the NJ Immunization Information System, the CDC vaccine-ordering system will be offline between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, and delays are expected.
