Harvest Fest and NJ Micro Brew Night for Charity in Basking Ridge, Oct 24

On Saturday, October 24, Men of Charity will host their 7th annual Harvest Fest and NJ Microbrew night at St. James in Basking Ridge.

On Saturday, October 24, Men of Charity will host their 7th annual Harvest Fest and NJ Microbrew night at St. James in Basking Ridge. At last year’s event, the top local home brewers and 12 of the top craft brewers in the state showcased over 40 different craft beers, with a wide variety including Rye lagers, ancient ales, pale ales, IPAs, dopplebocks, imperial ales and stouts.

The event will also feature a selection of white and red wines. The Men of Charity will also be serving traditional Oktoberfest cuisine, including ham, assorted wursts, sauerkraut, German potato salad, and spaetzle with vegetables.

All proceeds will benefit works of charity both inside and outside the Parish Community performed by the Men of Charity. Tickets in advance are only $45 ($50 at the door) and include beer, wine, food, and a tasting glass. A “Tricky Tray” raffle will also be held during the event. The Men of Charity, a ministry group of the St. James Church in Basking Ridge, is dedicated to performing acts of kindness and service inside and outside the St. James parish community. The Men of Charity was formed in 2008 to engage in charitable service to the community at large, including clothing drives, volunteering at soup kitchens, and coordinating home repairs. Through the members’ fundraising efforts, the Men of Charity also make donations to individual families in time of need.
