Municipal Alliance, Bernards Police Announce Results of 2015 Medication Drop Off Drive Thru
The Municipal Alliance and Township Police collected nearly 100 pounds of unused medication during the 2014 medication drop off event.

The Bernards Township Municipal Alliance and the Bernards Township Police Departed announced the results from the second annual Medicine Drop Off Drive Thru last week.
The drop off event was held on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. until noon, in response to the recent “pills to heroin” epidemic in New Jersey, according to a release from Bernards Township. More than 60 vehicles dropped off unused medication curbside during the two-hour event. The township collected 198 pounds of unused medication from township residents during the drop off drive thru.
According to the township, the Municipal Alliance partnered with the Bernards Township Police in January 2014 to host the First Annual Medication Drop Drive Thru, which collected 96 pounds of unused medication.
