New Restaurant Overlooking Golf Course Opens At Basking Ridge Country Club
XXVI Tavern is replacing Delicious Heights and will continue to be open to the public and club members.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A new restaurant that overlooks a golf course in Basking Ridge has opened to club members and the public.
XXV1 Tavern (twenty-six tavern), a 133-seat restaurant, opened on Friday at the Basking Ridge Country Club, announced Heritage Golf Group.
Heritage Golf Group purchased Basking Ridge Country Club in January 2022 and took over food and beverage operations on Oct. 1, 2022, after previous leases had expired. The new restaurant takes the place of the former Delicious Heights.

"We are excited to continue to serve our community and introduce our extremely talented Executive Chef Angel Rivera and the new menu he has created for XXVI Tavern," said Chris Thomas, General Manager of Basking Ridge Country Club.
Rivera has experience at both private clubs and high-end restaurants in the tri-state area, including, most recently, 1776 by David Burke in Morristown.

The XXVI Tavern menu offers a new twist on old favorites such as an array of shareable dishes and a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and tacos, plus entrees, daily specials and a kid’s menu.
Longtime Banquet and Catering Directors, Stephanie Bailey and Jessica Quesada, along with Banquet Manager, Menzi Bholoa, will continue to run all events along with their banquet staff.
Basking Ridge native Kait Fagan was hired as the new food and beverage manager, who most recently worked at the Summit House in Summit.
The name XXVI Tavern is a nod to 1926, the year Basking Ridge Country Club was founded. XXVI Tavern will continue to be open to the public and members of the club, Wednesday through Sunday.
Dining is available inside and outside with views of the fairways and greens of the golf course. The outdoor bar and terrace, with 50 additional seats, will open weather permitting.
