Potters Guild Will Hold Its First Ever Virtual Show

For the first time, the Potter's Guild and Farmstead Arts Center will hold a virtual show and sale

BASKING RIDGE, NJ—It will take more than a global pandemic to stop the Potters' Guild.

The guild, in partnership with Farmstead Arts Center in Basking Ridge, will hold a virtual show and sale this Sunday, Sept. 20 at 2:00 p.m. Billed as an opportunity to meet and share tips with other potters and learn new techniques, the event was moved online because of the coronavirus pandemic.

It isn't just a social event, though. Dozens of artists will exhibit pieces for viewing and for sale.

"Creations include a selection of vases," said the event announcement, "wall pieces, pitchers, teapots, platters, casseroles, raku and pit-fired vessels in varying colors and styles, and one-of-a-kind sculptures and decorative ceramic objects."

According to its website, The Potters' Guild of New Jersey was founded in 1987 and consists of more than 100 professional and amateur potters, educators, and students.
