Ridge Fencer Captures 100th Win

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Senior foil fencer and girls team captain, Yasemin Ocak, just joined an elite group of Ridge fencers as she won her 100th bout during the Feb. 4 matchup with Montclair.

Ocak started the dual with 97 victories, but was able to seal the deal with 3 victories on the night.

Only a small number of high school fencers reach this milestone. Yasemin has had a stellar high school career, as she will be a 4-year letter winner and is a 2-time team captain. Her overall career record stands at 102-29.

Ridge ( 11-1) heads into districts next weekend. They will be looking for more contributions from Ocak to lead them into a deep tournament run.
