Ridge created a corner opportunity within the first 30 seconds — a sign, according to Head Coach Kimberly Clark, that the team was ready to compete.
"We’ve been very focused on the first and last minute of each quarter, so it was a good sign when we came out with a goal-scoring mindset," said Clark. "That early energy level set the tone."

Defensively, Ridge showed grit and composure, holding off a determined Bernards team in a cross-town rivalry matchup. The Red Devils’ preparation showed, particularly in their pressing and counterattacks.
"We put a lot of energy into cleaning up our press and working our counterattack below the 25," said Clark.
Clark highlighted standout performances on the left side of the field, noting the consistent impact of Grace Geary and Kate Haviland.
"They’ve held down the left side and played two of the hardest positions on the field with poise," she said.
