Ridge Marching Band to Hold Car Wash Fundraiser, Sept. 12

Wash Your Car Saturday 9 a.m. -1 p.m. at Ridge High School Benefiting Ridge Marching Band.

The Ridge High School Marching Band will hold its annual Car Wash fundraiser on Saturday September 12. Members of the band and volunteer parents will provide a sparkling hand-washing of automobiles for a donation to the band’s program.

The Car Wash takes place at Ridge High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain or shine.) Ridge is located on South Finley Avenue in Basking Ridge.

Donations support the band’s many activities throughout the competition season including costumes, equipment and supplies. The 76 member Ridge Marching Band has also been performing its 2015 show “RIDGE IN THE CITY” at Ridge High School football games.

This year the major events include State championships at Rutgers High Point Stadium, the Yamaha Cup competition at MetLife Stadium on September 26. Ridge will hold its own Marching Band Competition featuring the top New Jersey high school bands performing at Ridge High School’s Lee Field in Basking Ridge on Saturday, October 24.

The band will also perform this season at Somerville High School, Vernon Township.

The Ridge Marching Band’s first will be in the Yamaha Cup competition on Saturday, September 26 at MetLife Stadium.

The annual Ridge High School Marching Band Competition will be held at Lee Field on Saturday, October 24.

The band will also perform this season at Somerville High School, Vernon Township, and the NJ State championships at Rutgers High Point Solutions Stadium.

The Ridge Marching Band is directed by Mr. Dan Zugale who is in his seventh year as director of Bands. Other coaching staff members include:
