Somerset County Offering Workshop For Those Affected By Cancer
The six-week workshop, Cancer: Thriving and Surviving, is open to anyone affected by cancer
BASKING RIDGE, NJ—Somerset County is sponsoring a free virtual workshop for those who have been affected by cancer.
The Morris-Somerset Regional Chronic Disease Coalition is holding the six-week program, “Cancer: Thriving and Surviving." for people with cancer or who have a loved one with the disease.
Workshop topics will include how to communicate effectively with family, friends and healthcare professionals;" the county's announcement said, "make decisions about treatment and complementary therapies; cope with negative emotions such as feelings of isolation, frustration and uncertainty; manage pain, deal with poor sleep and how to increase flexibility and endurance through exercise."

This program is co-sponsored by Norwescap, the Township of Randolph Health Department, and Rockaway Division of Health.
