Songbird Youth Weaves the Magic of Hope with Easter Donations to SHIP
Songbird Youth gives back to the community this Easter by donating food to SHIP, helping to provide a special dinner for those in need.
It warms our hearts at Songbird Youth to once again partner with the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP) this Easter of 2025, a cherished tradition we've held dear for the past decade. This year, our commitment goes beyond simply donating; we're embracing the spirit of active participation, eager to lend our hands and hearts to make a tangible difference in our community.
On the afternoon of April 12th, a dedicated team of four from Songbird Youth – our President, May Cotter, Co-president, Evelyn Hare, and Director, Bright Lin – embarked on a thoughtful mission to Costco. Their collaborative spirit shone brightly as they carefully selected each item needed for SHIP's Easter Dinner, ensuring every detail was just right.
But our support didn't end there. Alongside this hands-on effort, Songbird Youth also made significant monetary donations, hoping to further empower SHIP's vital work in providing nourishment and care to those in need.

What truly touched us deeply was the eagerness of our members to get involved on a personal level. During Spring Break, one of our young volunteers, Vera Tsang, accompanied by her two younger sisters, Jericha and Nyla, a bright-eyed seven-year-old, took time out of their holiday to personally deliver the collected food and donations to SHIP. Witnessing the pure joy and compassion of our youngest member as she contributed was a powerful reminder that kindness knows no age. It affirmed our belief that every act of giving, no matter how small, carries immense significance.
We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to connect with and support SHIP. It fills us with hope to know that, together, we are weaving threads of love and making a meaningful impact in the lives of our neighbors.

Looking ahead, Songbird Youth is filled with anticipation to continue our journey of giving back and fostering positive change within our community. We understand that kindness isn't a singular event, but a lifelong calling. The joy we witness in helping others fuels our commitment to spreading love, hope, and compassion wherever we can. As a united group, we eagerly await future opportunities to serve, firmly believing that even the smallest gestures can have a lasting impact and create change. With hearts overflowing with gratitude, we remain dedicated to making a positive impact.
We look forward to growing and giving together as a community bound by kindness.
