Traffic Alert: Upcoming Road Closures in Bernards

The Bernards Township Police Department announced upcoming road closures in the township due to construction.

New Jersey Transit will be closing Lake Road at the railroad crossing beginning on April 10, in order to perform construction upgrades to the railroad crossing, police said. Traffic will be detoured during the project, which should last for 10 days.

NJ Transit posted advisory signs indicating the project would begin on Thursday, March 26. The project was initially scheduled to begin on March 26, but was rescheduled to coincide with the township schools’ spring recess.

The project is scheduled to end on or about April 20.
