Belleville High Football Players Beautify Their Campus

There were 44 players who participated in Give Back Day in which they cleaned up litter throughout the Belleville High School campus.

Trash is disappearing from the grounds of Belleville High School as it's getting a good sprucing from its athletes.

Varsity football coach Joseph Fischer organized Give Back Day, which took place at the school Monday.

There were 44 football players who participated in the school wide clean-up that resulted in 24 full bags of garbage that stuffed an entire dumpster.

”Regardless of their outstanding abilities, none of our athletes are above picking up litter,” Fischer said about the program. "I am trying to instill pride of our facilities and township into our football players. I am trying to help them understand that this is their home town, and they should be proud of it.”

The team will participate in another Give Back Day taking place June 27, the day after the school's graduation when a build up of trash is expected following the crowds.
