Belleville High School Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

Bagpipe playing alumnus bellowed at the school.

This past Thursday, Belleville High School students enjoyed a Saint Patrick’s Day celebration that included  Irish music from Mr. Gallagher’s class and a special guest experience from “The Bagpiper of Belleville High School," better known locally as BHS graduate Chase Hamilton (class of 2010).

For the fifth year in a row, Chase marched Mr. G’s class through the halls of BHS, playing his bagpipe to the cheers and applause of students and teachers alike.

After enjoying some Irish soda bread (supplied by our Culinary Arts students), Chase also played for the Guidance and Main Offices and ended with an encore for our Superintendent, Dr. Feldman. All this on March 14th (3/14) known as “Pi Day” by our Math Department, a fact that did not escape the notice of the school's Principal, Mr. Pagano, who announced a “Pi Day Contest” with prizes for 100 winners.
