Nutley 'Tan Mom' Plans Move to London

Now that an Essex County grand jury decided not to indict Patricia Krentcil, better known as "Tanning Mom" on child endangerment charges for allegedly allowing her 5-year-old daughter to enter a tanning booth, what’s next for the Nutley resident? Krentcil told NBCnewyork.com Tuesday she plans on moving to London to pursue “several modeling jobs” before returning to her Nutley home.

Essex County Sheriff Offering Reward for Info on Bank Robber

Law enforcement authorities have posted a cash reward offer for information leading to the arrest of a suspected serial bank robber. Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura said that his department’s Crimestoppers program will pay up to $2,500 for details about the whereabouts of the suspect who has robbed three banks in Essex and Passaic counties during the past four months. Fontoura said the suspect is approximately 5’ 8”, 190 lbs and between the ages of 25 to 35.  

Four File for Three Belleville School Board Seats

Four candidates filed their petitions by the Feb. 25 deadline to run for the three, three-year Belleville Board of Education seats to be decided in the April 16 elections.

Two Men Charged After Bar Brawl

Two men were arrested on multiple charges after a fight outside a Belleville bar that attracted a large and reportedly unruly crowd, authorities said. A fight broke out between two men at the Providence Bar on Heckel Street on Feb. 15 shortly after 1 a.m, according to Belleville police. The scuffle reportedly spilled out into the street, with bar patrons rushing outside to watch.

Speed Limit Set on Nutley's Franklin Avenue

Nutley officials are setting the speed limit on Franklin Avenuie at 25 miles per hour to make it easier for police enforce speeding violations. The ordinance, introduced at the Feb. 19 Nutley Board of Commissioners public meeting, establishes a 25 mph speed limit on Franklin Avenue from the Belleville border to the Clifton border.
