Nutley Board Raising Water Rates; Bills to Increase

Nutley property owners will see their water bills rise after the price was raised by officials Tuesday night. The Nutley Board of Commissioners passed an increase in water usage charges, from $35.98 per 1,000 cubic feet used by $4.50 to $40.48, Commissioner Joseph Scarpelli said.

Nutley Holds Crayon Recycling Drive Throughout March

National crayon day is at the end of the month. To celebrate, Township Commissioner Dr. Joseph Scarpelli announced that the township is holding a crayon recycling initiative in pre-schools in honor of National Crayon Day, March 31. The drive concludes April 5.

Not so for Belleville residents Mike Perrone  and Jeff Mattingly, who have been busily restoring a vintage Good Humor ice cream tricycle. They told Patch they expect the trike to be cruising local streets the first week in april.
