Last Thursday, the former state assemblyman was back in Belleville for a trip around town with Mayor Michael Melham, an independent who has been mentioned in talks about who might make the final list for Ciattarelli’s lieutenant governor running mate.
Melham provided a recap of the visit in a social media post:
“We started the afternoon in my office for a great conversation about how Jack plans to fix New Jersey. He also used my private studio to record a few interviews. From there, we barnstormed through Belleville — with a quick stop for a ‘slice’ at Algeries Pizzeria, joined by Councilwoman DePeña and Master Allen. Jack even got his first Dominican slang lesson! Qué lo qué! Next, we visited Good Health Pharmacy to ‘kiss Billy’s ring’ — and of course, we had to grab a photo with the most popular person in Belleville: Gina! (Gina, my mother is going to be so jealous you got a pic with Jack.) We wrapped up with a stop at the Brunch Box and a quick visit across the street to see Frank at Michael’s Roscommon House.”
