Local Justice: Decisions in Belleville Municipal Court
The Municipal Court handled three separate matters involving controlled dangerous substances.

In State v. Andrew Maldonardo, of Belleville, the State charged defendant with possession of a controlled dangerous substance on October 10th. Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. In State v. Frank Visco, of Newark, the State charged defendant with possession of a controlled dangerous substance on April 25th. After a trial, defendant was found guilty of the charge. The Court sentenced defendant to a 1 year term of probation, suspended defendant's driver's license for 6 months, and imposed fines and costs totaling $807.
In State v. Alfonso Ecevarria, of Belleville, the State charged defendant with possession of marijuana on April 23rd. Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. The Court sentenced defendant to a 1 year term of probation and imposed fines and costs totaling $807.
