Local Justice: Decisions in the Belleville Municipal Court

In State v. Raymon Cruz, of Newark, the State charged defendant with failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance to the police on June 16th.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court imposed fines and costs totaling $857.

In State v. Marawan Ahmed, of Belleville, the State charged defendant with smoking in a school zone on May 22nd.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court imposed fines and costs totaling $139.
