Local Justice: Decisions in the Nutley Municipal Court

The Nutley Municipal Court handled these four matters.

In State v. Musa Ibrahim-Van, the State charged defendant with possessing a controlled dangerous substance on June 8th.  After a trial, defendant was found guilty.  The Court sentenced defendant to 30 days in jail and one year probation, suspended defendant's driver's license for 6 months, and imposed fines and costs totaling $164.

In State v. Sergey Foitu, of Nutley, the State charged defendant with two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia on December 14, 2011 and one count on Marc h 9th.  Following a trial, the defendant was found guilty of the charges.  The Court sentenced defendant to a 45 day in-patient program and imposed fees and costs totaling $964.

In State v. Elizabeth Runge, the State charged defendant with a probation violation arising from possessing drug paraphernalia.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court sentenced defendant to a rehabilitation program.

In State v. Rhett Ellis, of Union, the State charged defendant with shoplifting on June 6th.  Defendant pleaded guilty and the Court imposed fines and costs totaling $164.
