Sanford "Sam" Fleitell, owner of Trio Jewelers in Nutley since 1983, was selected as the recipient of the Jaycees Outstanding Businessman of the Year for his many years of community service.
Fleitell has worked for a number of organizations on various levels including many years with the Nutley Family Service Bureau, serving as a trustee and president of the organization. He also served the Nutley Rotary Club as past president, past vice-president, past sergeant at arms as well as chairing its 75th anniversary celebration.
He has been involved with the Nutley Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Facade Committee, a member of the Nutley Elks and Third Half Club and has sponsored numerous sports teams throughout the years. His business supports numerous other organizations and causes in the community.
Fleitell was graduated by Rutgers University with a BA degree and continued with advanced education in his field.

Previously, Fleitell was honored with The Ferraro Foundation Award for Philanthropy and by the "Christmas for Farm Children Project."
Sam is married to Michele, also very active in Nutley community activities for the past 32 years and they have two children Rachel and Michael.
