NUTLEY, NJ — The ShopRite of Nutley is back in business – with a fresh look and new features.
The newly renovated store at 437 Franklin Avenue celebrated a grand reopening event last weekend. The party will continue with a full week of festivities including food samplings, giveaways, raffles and special promotions from Nov. 10 through Nov. 17.
LoCurcio Family Markets – a third-generation, family-owned grocery business – recently completed a six-month long renovation to every part of the store, including the produce and prepared foods departments (see photo gallery above).

Those fresh food areas now offer expanded selections of organic produce, authentic international foods and products, sushi, a full-service deli with made-to-order sandwiches, and freshly prepared “grab-and-go” recipes and meals made in-store and marked with the “LoCurcio Family Markets” label. The team also introduced store-made pizzas and an international cheese department as part of the renovation.
Other store upgrades include updated floors, walls, endcaps, LED lighting and new refrigerated cases that are more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, spokespeople said.
