Nutley St. Pat's Parade is Saturday

Show your green! Grand marshal is owner of Belleville's JK's Boathouse.

The Nutley Irish American Alliance will hold its 35th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade Saturday, March 2, beginning at 1 pm. Grand Marshal is John Kelly, the owner of JK’s Boathouse in Belleville and a longtime member of the Nutley Crew Boosters. 

The parade stages at Holy Family Church on Brookline Avenue and will follow a route west along Harrison Street, then north on Franklin Street past the reviewing stand at John H. Walker Middle School before ending on Chestnut Street. 

A post-parade party will follow at the Knights of Columbus hall, 150 Chestnut St., from 3 to 7 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children aged 12 to 18 and can be purchased by calling  Joe Milbauer at 973-626-4439. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $25.

In years past, the parade has attracted hundreds of Essex County residents, and has featured appearances by local notables like Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo.
