Beachwood Police Rescue Unconscious Male From Spar Avenue Fire

Thanks to Beachwood police officers, a Spar Avenue man was rescued from a house fire.

A Spar Avenue man is alive today thanks to the quick actions of Beachwood police officers who rescued him from a fire at 7:30 p.m. on June 13, according to the police department's Facebook page.

By the time Patrolman Keith Meissner, Patrolman Andrew Altman, Patrolman David Bowden and Detective Allen Magory arrived, the fire already had heavy smoke showing. They entered the home and located an unconscious man inside. He began to regain consciousness when they brought him to safety.

The man told police there were other people inside the house. The officers were not able to go back inside because of heavy smoke and heat conditions.
