Power Outages Reported From Berkeley Through Barnegat

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley, Lacey, Waretown and Barnegat are experiencing power outages as of shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday.

According to JCP&L, 24,224 customers are without power as 10:17 a.m. That stretches from the southern portion of Bayville and Pinewald down into Barnegat. You can see the outage map here.

Traffic lights are out in many areas, according to the Ocean County Sheriff's Office.

The cause behind the widespread outage is currently unknown.

Power is estimated to return by 1 p.m., JCP&L said.
