Berkeley Police To Hold Fundraiser For One Of Their Own - Retired Detective John Sullivan

Longtime Detective John "Sully" Sullivan is in the fight of his life battling pancreatic cancer.

BAYVILLE, NJ - Berkeley Township police are asking the community to come out and help retired Detective John Sullivan in his fight against pancreatic cancer, according to the police department's Facebook page.

The department's Superior Officers Association and PBA Local 237 are planning a fundraiser for "Sully" to help with expenses at 5 p.m. on June 9 at the Bayville Elks Lodge.

Tickets are $35 each and include dinner and entertainment by a live band. A cash bar will be available. The event also includes a big item gift auction and 50/50 raffle.

"Please come out and support our friend John in his time of need," the post states.

Sullivan is well known for his investigative and interrogation skills during his time on the force. He was also an instructor at the Ocean County Police Academy and taught college courses.
