Berkeley Police Save Two With Narcan In Separate Incidents

One incident happened on Livingston Avenue, the other on Butler Boulevard

Berkeley Township police recently saved the lives of two overdose victim in separate incidents, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichel said.

The first incident occurred at 5:30 a.m. on May 24, when Patrolmen Kappock and Pizzella responded to a Livingstone Avenue home on a report of a drug overdose. The victim was showing signs of an opiate overdose and the officers administered Narcan.

The victim was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for further treatment..

The second incident happened at 5:35 p.m. on May 27, when Sgt. Papa, Patrolmen Foca, Williams and Wahl responded to a report of a drug overdose at a Butler Boulevard home. This victim was also showing signs of an opiate overdose, was treated with Narcan and transported to Community Medical Center, the chief said.
