Bitter Cold, Some Snow On The Way For Ocean County
The big chill briefly moves into the area by later tonight, into Thursday and Friday.

Ocean County residents might see some snow over the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.
Today will seem almost balmy with its high of 45 degrees. But when the sun goes down, that will change.
The temperature will drop to a low around 24 degrees tonight, with west winds starting at 6 to 11 miles per hour, then increasing to 12 to 17 miles per hour after midnight.

There's a chance of less than half an inch of snow, mostly between midnight and 4 a.m.
Thursday there's a slight chance of snow showers. Temperatures will only reach a high near 25 degrees. West winds will ramp up to 23 to 26 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 43 miles per hour. The chance of snow is 20 percent.

Thursday night we will see the brunt of the Arctic blast, with a low of 13 degrees and wind chills as low as -2. it will be breezy with west winds of 20 to 23 miles per hour.
Friday will be mostly sunny during the day, with a high near 25 degrees. Expect northwest winds of 7 to 16 miles per hour.
Friday night snow is likely, mostly after 4 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 20 degrees. The change of precipitation is 60 percent.
Things will warm up on Saturday, with snow before 9 a.m., then rain and snow between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., the all rain after 10 a.m. The high will be 49 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Saturday night will be cloudy, with a low of 39 degrees and a chance of rain.
Sunday rain is likely, with a high near 55 degrees. But don't get used to the warmer temperatures. Sunday night the National Weather Service is calling for a low around 23 degrees and a change of rain before midnight.
Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 35 degrees.
