Carol Jane Eberle, Former Lacey Teacher, Dies At 71.

A Memorial Service for Pine Beach resident will be held on Saturday.

Carol Jane Eberle, 71, of Pine Beach, NJ, died peacefully on Oct. 13, 2016.

Carol was born to the late Frank and Mildred Eberle and raised in the Bronx, where she began her 35-year teaching career. She moved to New Jersey in 1972 and taught in Lacey Township until her retirement in 2000.

Carol shared her considerable musical talents by directing the chorus at Cedar Glen Lakes, Whiting. At St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beachwood, Carol was a member of the Senior Choir where she often performed solos. She directed the Cherub Choir, was a Bell Choir member, and also substitute pianist. She also was very involved in many church committees and a volunteer for Caregivers of Ocean County.

Carol traveled extensively, was an excellent cook, and loved animals.

Carol is survived by her close friend Candace Bassat of Beachwood, several loving cousins, a host of friends, and her dachshund "Kacey". Her final days were spent with the loving and caring staff of Bayville Manor.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22nd, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 130 Cable Avenue, Beachwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Organ Fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 130 Cable Avenue, Beachwood, NJ 08722, Susan G. Komen Foundationor the ASPCA.
