Casting Calls For New Reality Show Set In Seaside Heights To Be Held Saturday

Call it Jersey Shore 2. No folks, it's not the show that highlighted Seaside Heights - sometimes in an unfavorable light. A new reality show is coming to the borough called "I Love Summer," according to a report in 92.7.

No, Snookie will not be in the show. She's history.

No potential networks for the show are listed and contacts for the production company, 18ToLife Productions, or a website could not be located. Even Seaside Heights officials said they "had no idea what the Bamboo Bar casting call was all about."

The stars of this show will work in Seaside Heights during the day and at the Bamboo Bar at night.

"It will follow roommates as they work here at the Shore in Seaside and have fun during Summer at the Jersey Shore," the production company gushed in a poster.

18ToLife Productions will hold preliminary casting calls this weekend starting at 10 a.m. at the Bamboo Bar.

Participants must be SINGLE - the Bamboo Bar's capitalization.

"If you are loud and fun, this is the role for you,"a Bamboo Bar poster states.

Borough officials apparently do not share the production company's enthusiasm.

They issued a statement on the borough's Facebook page:

"On behalf of the administration of the Borough of Seaside Heights, please be assured friends that Borough officials have no idea what the Bamboo Bar casting call is about and we will not support a television series that depicts Seaside Heights in a negative light," the post states. "Mayor and Council have worked very hard after Sandy in 2012 and the fire in 2013 to rebuild Seaside Heights into a family vacation destination. The Bamboo Bar announcement would seem on its face to challenge the Borough's vision."
