Coastal Ocean County Beach Weather Report For June 13, 2017
Sunny skies are forecast for today, but cooler beach temperatures are on the way for tomorrow.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with highs in the mid-80s at the beach.
Temperatures will be in the low 90s inland. This is the last day of the mini heat wave. The temperatures will plunge nearly 20 degrees by tomorrow.
There's a low risk of rip currents today, but rips can still occur near jetties and other structures. Always swim on a guarded beach. Never swim alone or at night. There have been several rescues due to rip currents when lifeguards were not on duty. The NWS suggests you always have a flotation device with you when you go into the water.

Waves will be around three feet, with southerly swells of three feet. The surf temperature has warmed up to 64 degrees. Winds will be from the southwest at about 10 miles per hour.
The ultraviolet index is a 9, which the National Weather Service considers very high, so bring the sunscreen. there is no lightning threat today.

There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms early tomorrow morning, mostly after 2 a.m.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet will roll in at 11:01 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 4:56 p.m., followed by another high tide at 11:07 p.m.
