Coastal Ocean County Beach Weather Report For June 2, 2017
National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies, and a low rip current risk for today.

If you're starting your weekend early, it's a good day to head to the beach.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 70s. Winds will be from the north at five miles per hour, switching over to the west in the afternoon. There's a slight chance of showers with isolated thunderstorms.
There's a low risk of rip currents today. But rips are always possible, especially near jetties and other structures. The NWS suggests you always have a flotation device with you if you're going in the water.

Waves will be three to four feet, with easterly swells of two to four feet. The ocean water temperature has warmed up to 62 degrees, up two degrees since yesterday. The lightning threat is low, which means there's little chance of thunderstorms. The ultraviolet index is a seven.
Low tide at Barnegat Inlet is at 9:29 a.m. High tide will arrive at 3:30 p.m., followed by another low tide at 9:49 p.m.
