The National Weather Service is forecasting cloudy skies, brisk northeast winds, and a moderate rip current risk.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies today with air temperatures in the mid-60s. It's basically a repeat of yesterday, minus the rain.
Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
Waves will be high, at four to five feet with northeast swells of three to four feet. There's a moderate risk of rip currents, so check with your local beach patrol before you go in the water. Always swim with sight of lifeguards and never swim alone or at night. The water is a chilly 59 degrees.

The ultraviolet index is a 6, which the NWS considers high.
High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 7:03 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 1:14 p.m., followed by another high tide at 7:25 p.m.
