The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies this morning, turning mostly cloudy by the afternoon.
There's a moderate risk of rip current today. You should check with your local beach patrols before heading into the surf. Always swim within sight of lifeguards and never swim along or at night.The NWS suggests bringing a flotation device with you if you are brave enough to go into the 60 degree water.
Highs today will be in the lower 60s. Winds will be from the east at 5 to 10 miles per hour, increasing to 10 to 15 miles per hour in the afternoon.

Wave heights will be around 4 feet, with easterly swells of around two feet.
The ultraviolet index today is a 5, which the NWS considers moderate. There is no lightning threat.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 7:47 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 1:55 p.m., followed by another high tide at 8:04 p.m.
