Eight Vying For Four Ward Seats On Berkeley Township Council

Republicans and Democrats are running unopposed, according to Ocean County Clerk's Office

There will be no surprises in the Berkeley Township primary election, since neither the Republican or Democratic candidates are being challenged for their respective party's nomination.

But eight people are vying for the four available four-year ward seats on the Berkeley Township Council, according to the Ocean County Clerk's Office.

Ward 1 - Republican Ward 1 incumbent James J. Byrnes, 219 Dogwood Drive, is seeking another term. Democrat Lynn Hansen, 45 Bayview Avenue, has also filed for the Ward 1 seat.

Ward 2 - Republican incumbent Angelo Guadagno, 392 Trenton Avenue, Bayville, is running for another term. Democrat Marcia Morales, 24 Pelican Drive, Bayville has also filed for the Ward 2 seat.

Ward 3 - Republican incumbent Judith L. Noonan, 1075 Edgebrook Drive, is seeking another term. Democrat Gary Clifton 18 Bugle Court, is also running for the seat.

Ward 4 - Republican incumbent Sophia Gingrich, 737, Jamaica Boulevard, is running for another term. Democrat Donna Walesiewicz, 5 Lagos Court, is also seeking the seat.
