A Happy Ending - Butters The Cat From Bayville Has Been Found

Someone had taken the 11-pound cat in, but read the Patch article and called his owner. They have been reunited.

Butters the cat is now home, safe and sound with his family.

Butters went missing from the family's Bayville home in the Esplanade apartment complex right off Korman Avenue in Bayville on April 30 and hadn't been seen since.

"My cat Butters has been missing for a couple days," owner Joe Clancy wrote on Facebook. "I think someone may have taken him in by feeding him. He loves to eat. Very spoiled and very friendly. He went out for a walk and never came back."

Clancy was right. He was contacted by someone who read the Patch article who had taken Butters in and called his number.

"We are going to pick him up now," he wrote on Facebook. Thank you so much for your help."

It was important that the 11-pound kitty be located, because he has gastrointestinal issues and can't eat wet food. He is microchipped.

If you are missing a pet, contact me at Patricia.Miller@patch.com and I will put up a little story.

Welcome home, Butters!
