Harold C. 'Bud' Pegg, Former Paterson Police Detective, Dies At 71

Harold C. "Bud" Pegg of Bayville died on Jan. 15, 2017. He was 71.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (nee Healey) Pegg, who died in 2009. He was the loving father of Denise Capizzi and Darrin Pegg and his wife Tara, the dear grandfather of Lianne, Krista, Joey, Cailyn and Alexa Capizzi and Devin, Jordan and Savana Pegg; brother of Carol Fant and Phyllis Wilkie.

He was born in Paterson and lived there for most of his life before moving to Bayville. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Bayville. He was a detective for the Paterson Police Department, then for the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Paterson PBA Local #1, Paterson, the PBA Local #265, Little Falls, and also the NJ State Policemen's Benevolent Association Retired Officers Local #600, Woodbridge.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at Laurel Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa.
