BERKELEY, NJ — If you’re starting to undeck the halls, here’s how you can dispose of your Christmas tree in Berkeley.

Starting Jan. 3, the township will pick up trees placed at the curb. All ornaments and hooks must be removed.

“Please keep in mind, due to the size of our township, it may take some time to get to all streets,” officials said.

Residents can also bring their tree to the recycling center across from the Berkeley Township Police Department Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mill Creek County Park and Robert J. Miller Airpark are also collecting recycled Christmas trees. Trees that are donated can be turned into woodchips for landscaping projects in Ocean County parks. Read more: Recycle Your Christmas Tree At Parks In Berkeley
